Changelog
Spectrum 1.9.0 - Welcome to Spectrum on 1.21.1!
This port has taken forever, since Minecraft changed a lot in recent updates, so we had to rewrite almost every class in the entire mod. 1.21.7 isn't looking like less work, either. But since you all enjoy Spectrum so much it's very much worth it. At this point big thanks to electro_593 and noaaan for helping out a lot with this port.
Early Potion Workshop!
The Potion Workshop is now unlocked in earlygame, after collecting Mermaid's Gems & Quitoxic Reeds - the Stratine requirement was removed. Since the vanilla Brewing Stand requires Blaze Rods, this is a nice alternative for Players that don't vibe with the Nether too much or play on peaceful.
To keep the power level down, all non-vanilla reagents get unlocked starting the midgame advancement tree.
Player Memories!
When using the Staff of Remembrance on a Player, you can now get a Memory of them. Hatching that memory makes the player teleport back to the position of the Memory. Using the 'Memory to Head' recipe you can now finally get Player heads, making Hardcore Revival a lot more accessible. I've also made sure to add a new funky advancements, if you try a certain cursed thing with that :tomfoolery:
Texture Overhaul
Most Spectrum textures use the ones that were previously included in the 'gen1' texture pack again. Especially the new Calcite and Basalt textures did not mesh too nicely with their vanilla counterparts. Some blocks, like the Perservation Blocks, Chimes, Pylons, Azurite ore and more still retain their updated textures and in other cases (like Shimmerstone particles) the visuals have been merged to create a vanillay, yet consistent look. Other blocks have gotten an overhaul - Stardust Blocks now sparkle, for example. Gemstone Blocks are back to their former selves, while their 'pillary' versions got their dedicated decorative blocks, actually called '<Gem> Pillar'. The Neolith item got smaller and it's block texture swapped with radiating ender, emphasizing its non-attributable properties as a null-block.
Of course you can still use the previous textures which are now included in a separate texture pack.
